So I started later this morning and attended the LGBT Caucus in room 553B. The sessions was lead by Mike Rogers, yes the same person who outed all those congressmen and staffers back in the day.
He had us start by interviewing our neighbor. I interviewed Darrel, the first openly gay delegate to the Democratic National Convention for Tennessee. Also met Rosemary, Kathleen, Brian and Jim. It was basically an ice breaker.
Also saw that Pam from Pam’s House Blend, Alvin from Holy Bullies and Headless Monsters, Viktor from Maybe It’s Just Me, Jeremy from Good As You, and Joe from Joe My God, in essence all the key bloggers at this caucus.
One of the things to come out of that caucus was that not many of us knew about the pre-conference for the LGBT that happened Wednesday. So Mike shared his email address and I signed on to the list.
Next up is Revitalizing State and Local Blogging – something I’m keenly interested in. After that is the closing keynote with Van Jones in Hall A/B at 4:30PM. And that winds up the Netroots conference in Providence for 2012, at least for me.

I was happy to finally meet you, wish it wasn’t so brief.
