Recalling the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and the character Agrajag. The character gets killed repeatedly.
Well Mike Heath things we’re all out to get him. After the FRC shooting all the bigots are tittering like idiots.
Heath goes on that there will be horrific and violent consequences. Notice – they make a veiled reference to what might happen. They never come out and elaborate on what those consequences may happen to be.
In this case of course Heath is referencing the FRC shooting. The FRC btw, is an SPLC Hate group. But it also emerges that Heath has obtained a Concealed Carry (CCW) permit.
Having a CCW is interesting. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll know which end of the gun is the nasty bit (Another ObHitchhikers reference). So the reality of most CCW holders is that they barely know which end of the gun is the dangerous one. Just because you have one doesn’t mean you’re protected.
As someone who spent the better part of two years at a gun range practicing drawing smiley faces on targets, I can tell you it took time to get to that level of skill with a handgun. Time that most people won’t put into it. They think just having a gun is enough.
Even now, the only weapon I own is a shotgun, more specifically a pump shotgun. Just chambering a round on that baby is enough to make a large proportion of the population crap their pants. You don’t even have to discharge the weapon.
So little Mikey is afraid. Good – he should be.
But the whole nebulous consequence thing is
